Diabetes Life Insurance is Available

If you have diabetes, you may have been turned down for life insurance before. You've probably been told that you are not eligible for certain policies and this can be a frustrating and frightening experience. If you are approved for life insurance, the company is probably trying to charge you an arm and a leg for it.
The following are the only possible exceptions for these companies that offer life insurance for diabetes sufferers:But it doesn't have to be that way. There are other options in diabetes lifeinsurance. You can find the right insurance policy for your needs even if you have diabetes. Anyone who has an existing health issue may find that they are not considered insurable by many insurance agencies. Thankfully, there are a small minority of companies that now offer insurance to those who have a medical condition such as diabetes.
  • Insulin Shock – If you have ever had an attack of insulin shock you may not be qualified for any type of life insurance. This is because you are considered a higher risk than an average diabetic would be.  Just because you have had this problem in the past does not mean that you are definitely denied, but this can be a reason that would be given. You should still be honest and more than likely the only issue you face is a higher premium.
  • Diabetic Coma – This is a bit more serious than insulin shock and can actually be a reason for denial.  It shows that there is a problem with maintaining the sugar levels in the body so you really need to take care of yourself in order to avoid this. If you get life insurancebefore you suffer from a diabetic coma you have a better chance at being qualified. Again, there are some companies that may still insure you but you may have to pay a higher premium.
  • Amputation – For those who have had severe medical problems due to their diabetes, an amputation may be the only way to save their lives. If this sounds like you, then you may have some problems getting life insurance. Fortunately, there are companies that may still insure you even after having a limb amputated. It may just be more difficult finding a company and this where a good insurance agent can come through for you.
Having diabetes does not have to mean that you are not qualified for any type of insurance. You simply have to dig deeper to find those companies that do not mind offering life insurance to those who are considered a risk. There are many companies in New Jersey that offer their clientsinsurance even though they have existing medical conditions but the premiums may be a bit higher than they would be for a healthy individual.
